Two officers and four members had a great time on a Chartered Deep Sea Fishing Trip on 10/25/03 with Captain Ron Pierson, out of Port Aransas. Two of our wives went along but did not fish for a total of eight participants. Tom Geary, Jim McGee, me (Randy Rowley), and Steve Watkins caught Red Snapper (eight total, four keepers). Jim McGee caught a 41" long, 22 pound Bull Redfish. Our trip was hampered by average six to seven foot seas with some monsters as tall as my house (three foot seas were predicted). Those who were on the port side of the boat had to hold onto the side of the boat with one hand and their rod with their other hand. After about three hours of riding those roller coasters we decided that we had had enough, went back in, and fished the rest of the day near the jetty's.
