The meeting was held at Eddy Chance’s home. Three Officers and two members were present (five total participants). A duck hunting video and a goose hunting promotional video were shown. A discussion was held on upcoming events. Bi-annual NAC elections were held. Eddy Chance was re-elected as President, Randy Rowley was re-elected as Secretary, and Larry Dowden was re-elected as Treasurer. Their new terms will begin on 1/1/2000 and run for two years. A written vote was held on one proposition. Proposition 1 (proposed by Randy Rowley) stated: “The FCS bylaw regarding membership dues and benefits (section III) should be amended to read that the annual membership due is $12.00. January is the Club’s annual renewal month. This would eliminate the ‘Memberships will be pro-rated’ clause.” For - 5, Against – 0, Abstain – 0. The proposition passed. Randy Rowley made three additional proposals. The first one was to eliminate the following statement from the “Our Purpose” section of the FCS brochure: “To minister to needs that arise in our membership and communities.” This proposal was made due to the fact that the Club has not had an official service project since early 1996. For - 5, Against – 0, Abstain – 0. The proposal passed. The second proposal was to eliminate the practice of charging a “non-member fee” at FCS Dove Retreats. This was agreed upon in April of 1997 but never implemented. For - 5, Against – 0, Abstain – 0. The proposal passed. The third proposal was to add/change the following events to the FCS calendar: add SAC Meetings on 10/14/99 and 12/9/99, change the 11/4/99 SAC meeting to 11/11/99, change the next Quarterly Shotgun Shoot from 11/20/99 to 11/6/99, and add Paintball at Texas Paintball on 12/11/99 (9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.). For - 5, Against – 0, Abstain – 0. The proposal passed.
