Four members and two grandsons (six total participants) had a poor hunt but a good time at the 10/13/06 – 10/15/06 Fall Dove Hunt (north zone) at Larry and Betty Sullivan’s ranches near Woodson. On Saturday morning there were no birds to speak of for Ken Hamilton and Forrest Wilde. They only shot once each. Wilson Peters and Rusty Prince hunted Saturday afternoon at the Parker place north of Woodson. They saw about 75 to 100 birds but it was difficult to hunt them because the field was large and they were the only hunters. At least six to eight hunters are needed to hunt it properly. When the birds flushed they would not come back. They got two birds. On Sunday morning birds were in the field feeding. They got two shots and the birds disappeared.
