Our 9th Annual Waterfowl Hunt is scheduled for Friday evening, 11/9/07 - Saturday afternoon, 11/10/07 with Bill Sherrill Waterfowl near Wharton. We have hunted with Bill numerous years in the past, and we either limited out or came very close during all six of our duck hunts with him. Our goose hunts have been less consistent, but in 2001 eight of us shoot 119 geese! The cost is $185.00 plus tip. We usually tip 10 - 15% for an average effort and 20% for an exceptional effort.
Hunters will caravan from Austin on Friday night, eat on the road, and stay at the Super 8 in Wharton (make your own lodging arrangements, their new number is 979-531-0301). On Saturday morning we will meet at their cafe or at Whataburger at 4:00 AM (Bill hasn't decided that yet). We will hunt until noon or we limit out (whichever comes first), eat lunch while the birds are being breasted (approximately $2.00/duck and $2.50/goose), and drive back to Austin.

I have a group reserved for ducks but as it stands right now we only have one hunter who has paid. If you want to attend I need your full fee ASAP, and an email advising me it is coming. Bill is already almost booked solid, so if we miss this slot, there is no guarantee we can get another. Your fee is non-refundable. If you have to back out you can have someone go in your place, and reimburse you at whatever price you negotiate with them. We have to make this arrangement because the fees are based on a group of four hunters. If one person drops out, the other three hunters have to make up the missing hunters’ fees. Paying in full protects us from that problem.
