The meeting was held at New Hope Church. Two SAC officers, one NAC officer and one SAC member were present (4 total participants). The video “In search of Muy Grande” was shown. A discussion was held on upcoming events. Two propositions that passed at the 10/2/97 NAC meeting were put before the SAC for a vote. Proposition 2: The Fellowship of Christian Sportsmen should amend it’s bylaws regarding conduct (Christian Walk section) to read that 1. The use or possession of Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited at FCS outings, 2. The use of profanity is prohibited at FCS outings, and 3. The use of tobacco products is strongly discouraged at FCS outings. Proposition 3: The Fellowship of Christian Sportsmen should amend it’s bylaws regarding membership to read that Members shall consist of those men who: 1. Have expressed a desire to be a member by completing a membership application (including agreeing to abide by the FCS bylaws, conduct themselves as a Christian Sportsman and uphold the FCS Statement of Faith) and 2. Have paid a one year, three year or five year membership due. The current requirements to attend at least one FCS outing or meeting and to have been approved as a member by a majority vote of the members present at any official FCS meeting will be deleted. A vote was taken. Both propositions passed unanimously. New T-shirts were available for membership renewals or purchase.
