Three officers, seven members, five youth members, seven guests, and six sons and daughters (a record 28 participants and 22 shooters) had a great time at the 12/20/03 Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Range. Two groups shot all 12 stations. One group shot our traditional six stations. The last six stations were reported by several shooters to be more difficult than the first six. Out of the 12 station shooters Kenny Hill came in first place with 35/48. Jody Jones came in second with 29/50. Derrich Pollock was third with 26/50. Eddy Chance and Ron Denison were next with 23/48. Tim Price was next with 23/50. Larry Dowden was next with 22/48. Jesse Price was next with 18/50. Guest Bruce Crockett was next with 6/41. Ryan Pollock was next with 3/50. Isaac Price was next with 1/50. Renee and Emily Crockett also shot at several clays. Tori Denison also shot at at least two clays. Of the six station shooters, I, Randy Rowley, came in first place with 33/50. Guest Jon Vance was second with 29/50. Mark Dillow was third with 22/50. Guest Frank Weldon was next with 13/50. Guest Kerri Hill was next with 2/24. Derrich Pollock is noted for breaking two crossing birds with one shot. I was noted for breaking two birds that were coming straight at me with one shot and for breaking 16 out of my last 18 targets.
