One member and two sons (three participants) had a good time at the Hart Lion's Club Pheasant Hunt on 12/18/06 - 12/23/06 near Hart in the Panhandle. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. It had rained in Hart several days in mid-December. With the temperature in the teens, all of the roads were iced over. The paved roads thawed out but not the gravel and dirt roads. Tim Price said that he couldn't drive faster than 10 MPH. The pheasants also did not cooperate. Tim and his boys only saw one rooster and one hen. They did manage to bag two Canadian geese and one Mallard. On Friday they went to a prairie dog town and dispatched about two dozen prairie dogs. On Saturday they stopped by a friends place near Abilene and hunted quail. Tim got eight.
