History was made once again at the Quarterly Shotgun Shot on Saturday, 2/20/99 at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet range. Jim McGee jumped out to an early lead of three birds over Tim Price, going 10 out of 10 on the first station. There was no change after the second station. Tim went 10 for 10 on the third and tied it all up. However, Jim jumped back to a three bird lead on station four. Tim tied it up for the final time by going 8 for 10 on the last station. Both men ended up with 37 birds. Jim also set a new FCS record by breaking two birds with one shot three times! He did it twice after he had missed the first shot! Regarding Tim, FCS members now believe that he has been abducted by space aliens and replaced with an imperfect clone. During the last two Shotgun Shoots he was defeated once and tied once. Seriously, 36/50 and 37/50 for his last two outings is pretty darn good! Warren Hoke and David Chalmers tied for second with 34 birds killed (a big improvement for David!). I, Randy Rowley, came in third with 28. The rest of the shooters scored as follows: Eddy Chance - 25, Shawn McGee - 23, Larry Dowden - 20, Joey Ferreiro - 13 (13 year old guest, first time shooter), Ron Denison - 10, Ryan Rowley - 10, and John Matthews (guest) - 7.
