2005 and Older Prayer Requests
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for the wife and three children of Rev. Kyle Lakes, 33, who was the pastor of University Baptist Church in Waco. Pastor Lake was baptizing a woman when a microphone fell into the water, electrocuting him. The woman was not injured but I'm sure is emotionally traumatized.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Ralph Feola (a trucker) who had an accident with a car. Several people are in the hospital critically hurt. Pray for their recovery and for Ralph as he is very distraught over the accident.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Kevin Yolken, a college skier who fell and broke his back while skiing in Chile. He is now able to walk a little. This has helped his spirits so much he is hoping he can start skiing again by next year. A skiing scholarship is how he is able to afford college.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his good Christian friend, Gene Berek. He has been out of work for a couple of years now and money is becoming somewhat critical. Gene is a petroleum engineer that specializes in offshore rigs. He has been an independent consultant for several years now, after leaving Mobil Oil. Exxon in Houston has a manager that wants to hire Gene and is trying to get his immediate manager to approve it. The bureaucracy at Exxon is causing this to move at a snail's pace. Please pray that this upper manager will get a sense of urgency and desire to hire Gene and it can happen quickly. This is critical because Gene also learned last week that Conoco won't be hiring anyone with his specialization anytime in the foreseeable future. There also seems to be no opportunity at Shell.
Gary Schriber requests prayer for his grandson and FCS member, Blaine Lindeman, who is going to Afghanistan after the first of the year.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Jeff Janak, who was involved in a car accident on 9/30/05. He broke one rib and damaged his lumbar spine. He is now having to use a cane to get around.
James Wade requests prayer for his wife, Mary. She is under a lot of stress at work and her ill father, Wade, is calling her on the phone and cursing her.

Jim Rumbo requests prayer for Daryl Clawson and his family. They are expecting spiritual attack after David cast out a demon from a possessed man at a Missionary Compound in Columbia.

Eddy Chance's older brother, Rev. Joseph Chance, who had gallbladder surgery on 7/12/05, is out of the ICU and doing much better. Pray for his continued recovery. Joseph also has heart problems.
Curtis and Tonya Slovacek request prayer for safety for their disaster response team. They were dispatched as soon a Hurricane Dennis hit land fall.
Eddy Chance's dad, Rev. C.V. Chance has bone spurs on his spine. He is doing better and is not in as much pain.
Ryan Rowley requests prayer for his friend, David Smetzer, who was injured in Iraq during the week of 5/8/05. He was in the turret of a hummer when it rolled over. They sent David home to recover, which is not a good sign.
Curtis and Tonya Slovacek request prayer for the Grenada hurricane relief ministry. They went to Grenada in 4/05. There is still a lot of work to do over there to help them with their recovery from the hurricane that hit them in 9/04. They still have a long way to go. As soon as their government finished fixing offices and homes they declared that the disaster over and cut funds to schools, churches, and the poor and working class. The Slovacek's visited a school that has no roof or second floor left but the kids still have class every day on the first floor classrooms. There are 180 children that go to school there. The churches are using turkey fryers to cook for the school because the kitchen is being used for a classroom/washroom. They are asking the Lord for direction and that He will put teams together to go down and help put the roof back on the school as well as repair churches that are in need of help. They will be looking for churches all across the state to adopt a church or a school or a family.

Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Joan Ward, the mother of his friend, David Ward. She had fallen and was lying without help for three days before she was found. Her prognosis is uncertain.
Ken Hamilton's friend and colleague, Diane Foster, has been diagnosed with emphysema.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Linda Shipp. She will have an alimony hearing on 5/7/05. Pray for God's will to be done and that both her and her ex-husband will be drawn closer to the Lord.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his neighbor, Dan, who has Lou Gerrig's disease. Pray also that Ken will have an opportunity to witness to Dan and his wife Kathy.
Curtis and Tonya Slovacek have been invited to go to Grenada to hand out supplies that they collected after the hurricanes last year. They need to raise $2300.00 for travel expenses. Please pray that the Lord will provide their way.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his friend Greg Lewis, who has cancer of the liver. Pray for pain relief and that God will either heal him or use Greg's illness for His glory. Either way pray for peace for his family and that His will be done.

Allen Snoddy requests prayer for FCS guest Tom Ranken who broke his leg at work on 12/27/04. He’s self-employed so this comes as that much more of a burden. Please pray for a speedy recovery.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his good friend, Bob, an Orthopedic surgeon who is on a mission trip to Kenya. Bob, his wife, Julie, and their children began their journey on 11/29/04. They will return on 1/29/05. They are requesting prayer for the following:
In addition, a nurse there was stuck with a needle used on a HIV positive baby. A young patient has a cancer that is untreatable and a deformed woman who is being persecuted by her fiancée's family.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Carl and Nicole who are having marital problems. Carl was laid off from MCI a few years ago and it has been stressful for this couple ever since then. Please pray specifically that they will both turn their focus to Christ and away from their prideful selves so Christ can work in their lives.
Jeff Walls' brother, Bobby, will have back surgery within a week from 12/9/04.
Tom Ranken's friend Susan Baxter has a mass growing inside of her. She is receiving chemotherapy. Pray for her and her adopted son, Daniel, who has Down's Syndrome.
Jeff Koerner and his sisters were in a five car pile up on 11/28/04 and both of their cars were totaled. Pray that God will provide a vehicle for Jeff and his sister. Jeff just had liability insurance so he'll either have to fix his car or pay for another car. He doesn't have the funds right now to do either. He is getting rides to and from school and to and from work.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his friend and co-worker Scott Casey and his wife, Mary. Mary's mother recently passed away and she is having a hard time now during the holidays dealing with the loss. Please continue to pray for both Scott and Mary that they will be open to the Good News. Ken sent them plan of salvation material but Scott has not been receptive to it thus far. Ken is sure that he considers it foolish. Pray that God will soften their hearts and remove the scales from their eyes so they can know the truth.
David Morgan's wife and Shane Morgan's mother, Gail, fell down the stairs and broke both of her legs. One healed correctly. The doctors had to break the other again in order to repair it. Everything is healing fine so far but she will have another surgery to remove the plate from her ankle.
Kevin Font's friend, Chester, was diagnosed with Encephalitis in 4/04. Kevin states that Chester is in pretty bad shape and he just found out that he had a recurrence and suffered a lot of brain damage. Chester was re-learning to walk just before the recurrence.
Buddy Boudloche requests prayer for his friend Neil Leatherwood of El Paso , Texas. Cancer has spread throughout his body. He is tired and is preparing to do His will.
Jesse Price's wife, Linda, had some fainting spells on 8/29/04. Jesse took her to the emergency room. The doctor's were not able to find anything wrong.
Kerri Hamilton's ankle is much better. She has been in considerable pain for a long time. Please continue to pray for continued healing.
Harold McElfish had major neck and back surgery on 8/9/04 that went extremely well. He was cleared to drive on 8/19/04. He will probably require three more surgeries.
Buddy Boudloche requests prayer for his and Derrich Pollock's good friend, Mike Ziegler, who is battling lung cancer. A PET scan was negative but the concurrent CT scan showed nodes. His doctor doesn't know what to think. Mike will have an aspiration biopsy during the week of 8/15/04 to help develop a prognosis and treatment.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for a member of his church, Dr. Terry Moore, who is having bladder problems. He will requiring a catheter for some time.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for members of his church, John and Linda Pizzoloto. Their son took his own life. Pray that the Lord will give them comfort and the strength to get through this.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for members of his church, Bob and Mary Jo Meece. They are financially bankrupt and Bob has nerve damage. He can barely walk with a cane.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Alan Taggart, who had an accident on his motorcycle and had his leg amputated. He is in ICU at Baylor.
Ryan Rowley requests prayer for his assistant team leader, Sgt. Raudel Guerra, who may have thyroid cancer.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his neighbors, Dan and Cathy Dudec, that they will allow Ken to share the plan of salvation with them. Dan has Lou Gerrig's disease, which is incurable. Ken's discernment is that they are not saved. Ken is taking care of their lawn this summer which he hopes will make them receptive. Ken doesn't know this couple very well.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for God to soften Karyn Iqarashi's heart so she will receive the verbal and written plan of salvation that Ken gave her along a couple of weeks ago. Ken also gave her a Bible. Karyn was one of Ken's nurses while in the hospital and does not know the Lord. She believes in reincarnation and that people get multiple chances in different lives for their souls to get it right before they are allowed into heaven, where they become angels. Ken gave her the truth verbally followed by the bible with scripture references. She really needs our prayers. Karyn's friend put all these ideas into her head to help her accept her daughter, Kalena Ellis, who had a mental condition from birth (Kalena is 23 years old and lives in a mental institution in Connecticut). Karyn has drawn strength from the belief that her daughter will someday become an angel. Ken told her the bible is the inspired Word of God and it gives Karyn assurance that her daughter will go to heaven from this life and that we as Christians will not become angels but we will actually rule over the angels in heaven. He asked her if she would like to have the assurance that she too will be in heaven when she dies so she can be reunited with her daughter. She listened to the good news but she wouldn't pray to receive Christ while Ken was in the hospital. So, Ken left her a bible along with a write-up on how to receive Christ and scripture references. Karyn's friend needs our prayers too so that if Karyn receives Christ, God will use Karyn to bring her friend to the saving knowledge of God's grace too.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his friend Jeff Ritchie, who just suffered a stroke. Jeff will be able to recover his speech and motion.
I, Randy Rowley, request prayer for Lee Ewald, who suffers from ulcerated feet from diabetes. Pray for his general health.
David Hamilton's sister, Dena Hamilton has a dear friend from her school days that is a practicing homosexual. Please pray for his salvation. His name is Bill Chenowith.
Eddy Chance requests prayer for his step-mother, Fay, who has several leaking heart valves. The doctors have told her there in nothing they can do for her. Eddy's dad, C.V. Chance, is a Baptist minister and re-married after Eddy's mother died back in 1990. Please pray for strength for Eddy's Dad and Fay's son, Randy Dowden, and her daughter, Sharlet Dowden. They sent her home on 6/3/04. She is going to stay at Sharlet's home as she will be able to help care for her.

Ron Denison's sister-in-law, Kathy, marriage is falling apart. She is pregnant.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Janie Carter, the wife of an acquaintance of Ken's. She has been diagnosed with emphysema. She just got home from the hospital this week but is having difficulty breathing.
Lyn Parks friend, Mark De La Cruz has been diagnosed with irreparable stomach cancer. He has a family.
Kevin Font's friend, Bryan Newberry, has pancreatic cancer.
Kevin Font requests prayer that his health condition will continue to improve. He has Hepatitis C.
David Butler is moving his practice to northwest Austin. He is requesting prayer to continue to discern God's will and for Godly people to apply to be his receptionist. A BIG praise is that a doctor who is not practicing is letting David rent the equipment from her entire practice for a nominal sum. This happened a few days after David had some doubt about staying solo!
Jim Rumbo's business partner, Duane Bacon, has lost a lot of weight due to large cell lymphoma.
Mike Hardcastle's wife, Elizabeth, is struggling with an Immune System disease (Lupus) that is attacking her lungs. She is undergoing a oral chemo treatment plan.
David Quijano's friend, Tom Campbell, has been diagnosed with cancer that has spread throughout his body organs. His wife, Debbie, and him have two girls, Carley and Skyler. Tom is a very strong person and with the help of the doctors and his faith in the Lord is determined to overcome this illness. Please help David support Tom in prayer.
T.J. McGee was diagnosed with liver cancer on 8/22/03. The cancer was of a high grade and was very aggressive. T.J. was also diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. The tumor was removed but there is a high chance that the tumor will grow back. Due to his current liver condition he is unable to undergo chemotherapy. He will probably need a new liver. Please pray that T.J.'s health condition will improve and for strength for Lisa.
Lyn Park's friend, Terry Woodall, and his family have had a terrible year. Terry lost his father-in-law and cousin in a motor cycle tragedy in January. His father passed away in March. Today, 8/27/03, his mother (Ilene) will be coming home from MD Anderson to live out the remainder of the time she has on God's beautiful earth. Please pray that the Lord will give her peace knowing that she is home with her family.
Kenny Hill's older brother, Danny, and Danny's wife, Char, were involved in a motorcycle accident on 8/10/03. The doctors had to remove a small part of Danny's brain due to his head injuries. He was on a respirator but is now breathing on his own. He had the last of his surgeries on 8/20/03 and they put him in a private room. They took some of the tubes out of him on 8/22/03 and sat him up in bed. He is having some memory problems. Char's leg was badly injured and she required skin graphs. She will require rehabilitation. Please pray for healing for both of them and their families. Danny's mother doesn't want to leave the hospital.
James Wade is considering a career change.
Eddy Chance's mother-in-law, Mary Bailey, has had her Hepatitis C flare up again. She went through a year long treatment last year to try to cure it. She is now going to try another newer, experimental treatment. Please pray for her healing, and for guidance for all the doctors and nurses treating her. Eddy says that she is, by far, the strongest Christian he has ever known and she believes that God can do anything through prayer. Also pray for Eddy's family as they go through this with her.

Ken Hamilton asks for prayer for his Muslim boss, M.J., who agreed to read a book that Ken gave him called "Unveiling Islam," written by two converted Muslims. M.J. says "I will die a Muslim". Maybe not if God deals with his heart. The Muslims have no assurance of their salvation and think that works are important to gain entrance into Heaven. They believe in Abraham and Ishmael, so they have to acknowledge that the Old Testament is the Word of God. That's a start. Ken's relationship with M.J. has improved so he knows that God is at work. M.J. is avoiding being alone with Ken. Pray that the Lord will give Ken an opportunity and He will prepare M.J.'s heart.
