Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Ava Riva's dad, who is back in the hospital with thin blood and failing organs. He has taken a turn for the worse. Please pray that the Lord's will be done and that the family can rejoice in the extended time He allowed this man to stay with his family. Hopefully, God will let him make through Christmas and into 2007. Ken is unsure of Ava's spiritual condition.
Kenneth Kidd is recovering from his eye surgery on 12/19/06. He will require a two week recovery time where he is not supposed to move around a lot. It may be one to three months before his vision is back to a acceptable level. Pray for a fast recovery.
Please pray that God will continue to open the doors for Kenneth Hamilton's friendly departure from GE and that he will continue to have witnessing opportunities with the people he now works with as well as the new ones he will be working with.
Ken Hamilton's friend at GE, Bill Riva, has really gone through several trials over the past few of years with family issues we have prayed for and also friends/family that have been hurt or died. He just called with the following:
Bill's last living best friend, Bob Pifer, who's wife has Alzheimer's disease. Also Bob's son just left for Iraq for his third tour and his mission is to seek out the insurgents and kill them. Pretty scary assignment for his dad to deal with. Please pray for his son's safety and for him as he deals with his wife's disease.
Bill's wife Ava is still going through testing to see what is wrong with her.
Please pray for Bill too as he goes through all of these issues in his life. He is a great and caring guy. One of the best "daddy's" I have ever known.
Mr. Charlie Batts had major back surgery to repair a ruptured disc on 10/5/06. The surgery went well and he has returned home the next morning. Pray for a speedy recovery (and that Charlie will stay still long enough to heal)!
Steve Watkins requests prayer for Brother George Rivera who is having heart problems. George is a missionary.
Larry Dowden's brother, Randy, is having severe back pain again. He has had three back surgeries and has had a stimulator placed in his back. The medications that he has to take keep him from functioning well and he is very depressed.
Ken Miller is closing on his 4-plex on 10/6/06. Pray that everything will go well.

Al Weiss requests prayer for his wife, Lucy. Last year she was diagnosed with cancer, but after undergoing chemo-therapy she was able to beat it. She enjoyed a short remission, but they were recently told that the cancer has returned and is now in her bones. However, this time the doctors say that due to its location, they might be able to control its spreading to other areas of her body. She has started chemo-therapy again at a much lower dose than before, but she is beginning to feel the ill-effects again.
John and Susan Murray have a Christian friend named Mitra who has been granted asylum here from Iran. Through Iranian Christians International, she has recently allowed a young American man who had been living with his harsh Iranian stepfather in Iran since he was 11 to come here and live with her temporarily. The apartment she shares with her son is very small and she does not have a lot of money. She is looking for someone to take him in for a while until he gets a better job and can support himself. Patrick is almost 25 and is very nice. We would invite him to live with us, but we have a 17 year old daughter. If you have space and a heart for helping this young man, please contact Susan for more info at 346-2901. Please pray for him also.
Eddy Chance requests prayer for his mother-in-law, Mary Bailey. Her MRI was good. It showed no abnormalities in her liver, stomach, kidneys, lungs, etc. They still don't know why her liver enzymes are so high and her platelets are low. Her doctor wants to do a biopsy but she talked him into waiting a month and rechecking her blood.
Steve Aylor, the husband of one of James Wade's wife's co-workers was involved in a motorcycle wreck and is in bad shape. Please pray for him and his family.

Ken Miller was involved in a accident on 8/12/06. His truck was totaled. He has no injuries, but his back is sore and he is stressed out. He was about five blocks from my house and did not see it coming. He was in the center lane and was hit head on. He thanks God that he was not hurt.

Curtis and Tonya Slovacek request prayer for Gary and Cindy Hogan. Cindy has just been diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim. She was pregnant with their second child, but miscarried due to the cancer. Pray for the removal of all cancer from her body.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for H.B. Keating. He had surgery at the end of 3/06 to remove a rod that was implanted in his back several years ago that has now broken into several pieces. They removed it and did bone fusions all along his spine. He will be in recovery for almost a year. Also pray for his prostate cancer to not increase in size.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Sean Price, who had an embolism in his lung on 3/7/06. The doctors induced a comatose state so they can treat him. Please pray for his recovery.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Jessica Moulton. Jessica is a 19 year old college student who was holding down two jobs. She is in a drug related coma. She was care flighted from Lake Tahoe to a hospital in California. Please pray for her recovery.
Ken Hamilton requests prayer for his daughter and active FCS member, Kerri Hamilton. She has been having migraines, a kidney infection, and blood in her stool. She had a colonoscopy, CT Scan and an Endoscoptomy at the end of 2/06. No problems were noted. Believing that the migraine headaches were stress related, Kerri resigned from her job working with abused and battered children. Please pray that the headaches will subside now.

Ken Hamilton requests prayer for Dee Jordan, who had a mild heart attack last year and was hospitalized on 1/31/06 with chest pains. Ken thinks that it was an anxiety attack. Please pray for her ability to deal with any anxieties in her life, a stronger heart, and for her peace of mind. Please pray for peace and comfort for her daughter, Christi Kirk, as she deals with her mother's illness.

Ken Hamilton requests prayer for two friends of his - Bob and Julie, who are missionaries in Kenya. A young man was brought in recently with multiple fractures. He also had a severe head injury and was totally unconscious. He bore no identification, and no relatives or friends have shown up to provide any information. Reviewing his chart, they noticed that he was given the name "Unknown African", which is a sad reminder of the disconnected state of many here. Please pray for him. Also pray that the other doctors in Bob's practice will understand Bob's need to take these trips (some are not Christians) and pray for protection from ridicule at his clinic. Some of the doctors have complained. They have been in Kenya for two months now and are on their way home. Pray for a safe trip. Also pray for the children that they ministered to while there. Many of them did not have shoes or had old shoes. They were able to supply 600 children with new shoes and socks.
