4/10/08 Austin Chapter Meeting Minutes

Three officers, seven members, and two sons (12 total participants) had a great time at the 4/10/08 Austin Chapter Meeting at Larry Dowden's home.  John Murray and I (Randy Rowley) brought pots of chili and Larry Dowden supplied homemade cookies.  I led a devotional (Overboard) and led us in prayer.  We watched the DVD "Calling all Coyotes."  John Murray won the door prize - a copy of "With God on a Deer Hunt" by Steve Chapman.  The following upcoming events were discussed:

• Friday, 4/11/08 - Varmint Hunt (Sponsored by the Buda Chapter) near Lockhart.

• Saturday, 4/12/08 – The Derrich Pollock Memorial (Five Stand, Skeet, and Wobble Trap shoot) at Upland Bird Hunting Inc. near Bertram.

• Friday, 4/18/08 – Chartered Hybrid Bass Fishing Trip with Jay Garrett on Lake Belton.

• Friday, 5/9/08 through Saturday, 5/10/08 - Family Campout (Sponsored by the Buda Chapter) at a location to be announced.

• Saturday, 5/17/08, 9:00 – 11:45 AM - Sporting Clays Shoot at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio.

• Saturday , 5/31/08 - Concealed Handgun License Class at Eagle Peak Shooting Range.

• Thursday, 6/26/08 through Friday, 6/27/08 – Chartered Bay Fishing Trip near Corpus Christi.
