The meeting was held at Rudy’s Barbecue. Three officers were present. Massive amounts of barbecue were eaten.
1. A proposal was made by Derrich Pollock to modify the members fee and non-members fee for FCS Dove Retreats that was approved by the Club on 4/10/97 (but never implemented). Members would be charged the current hunt per day fee. Non-members would be charged the current hunt per day fee and in addition pay a $12.00 fee during the September hunt (designating September as the Club membership renewal month) and a $8.00 fee during the January hunt (pro-rated). The non-member can choose whether the $12.00 (or $8.00 as applicable) goes towards his Club membership or to the Club’s general fund. A vote was taken. The proposal passed unanimously.
2. A proposal was made by Randy Rowley to re-implement the pro-rated club membership due system that was approved by the Club on 6/3/99. The membership due would be $12.00 if a man joined the Club or renewed his membership in January, $11.00 in February, $10.00 in March, etc. (pro-rated $1 a month). A vote was taken. The proposal passed unanimously again (including the vote by the third officer).
3. A proposal was made by Randy Rowley to allow Club members wives, girl friends, and/or daughters to participate in all Club outings (they have participated in all club outings that are on the 2001 FCS Calendar with the exceptions of the Dove and Duck hunts). Participation would be limited to known female relatives/significant others of Club members. The proposal passed unanimously again (including the vote by the third officer).
4. A discussion was held on creating a new FCS shirt. Interest will be established before any plans are made.
President’s note: due to the fact that only officers were present at this meeting, the proposals from the February 25, 2001 meeting were revisited. Another meeting was scheduled for April 12, 2001 because many members were not able to attend the April 5, 2001 meeting.
