Our annual National Sporting Clay Association Sporting Clays Shoot is tentatively scheduled for 5/17/08 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio.

They will be training new instructors and they need Guinea pigs to teach. The instructor/student ratio will be no greater than 1:3. The shoot will go from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days (FCS is officially shooting only on 5/17/08 but you can shoot on 5/18/08 if you like). The cost is $25.00/day or $12.50/half day. You will need to bring your own shells (about a case a day). If you consider the fact that five rounds of sporting clays at Capitol City will run you $125 and you get an instructor, this is an incredible deal! The student instructors will be supervised by experienced master instructors. Slots are open on both Saturday and Sunday.

You do not have to be a member of the association to participate, although Kenneth Kidd highly recommends membership. He reports that they are a great association that regulates the sporting clay sport and they have a very fine magazine.
