Three
shooters had a great time at the Quarterly Shotgun Shoot on Saturday, May 5,
2001 at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Range. Tim Price and Randy Rowley tied
for first (we think) and Jesse Price came in second. Randy broke 32 targets for
sure. Tim’s and Jesse’s scorecards got mixed up on station 6 but it looks like
Tim also broke 32 targets and Jesse hit 16. Tim got off to a fast start. By
the end of station 3 he had a four bird lead on Randy. Station 4 was a turning
point with Randy breaking all five targets while Tim was stumped. However, Tim
broke all five of station 5’s birds and Randy only hit one, giving Tim a three
bird lead. On station 6 Tim broke two and Randy hit all five, tying the match
up. Station 7 saw Tim gain a one bird lead and Randy tied it up again on
station 8. Tim went up one again on station 9 but Randy hit one more on
station 10 resulting in the tie. Surprisingly all three shooters shot better on
the last 25 targets, which are always harder than the first 25 (Randy hit 20,
Tim 17, and Jesse 10).
