6/13/06 FCS Dinner (report by Kenneth Kidd)

Well if you weren't there you missed a great time.  FCS had an impressive showing at Catfish Parlor with 23 people (three officers, ten members, six guests, including two first time guests, and four sons and daughters).  Our usual motley crew was dressed up by the presence of some lovely wives and daughters.  Great quantities of catfish and shrimp were consumed and at least one chicken fried steak vanished rather quickly.  The all-you-can-eat shrimp and catfish kept the wait staff busy bringing refills.  A blessing for the food and fellowship was offered by Derrick Pollock and the fun began.  There were fish stories and hunting powers discussed and I am sure no one stretched the truth.  There was one discussion on how to stretch a fish, most interesting.  A lively time of fellowship was had by all, it is truly a blessing to be with friends.  The good Lord has truly blessed us with the opportunities to meet and interact with other Christians with like minds that we might not otherwise have met had it not been for FCS.  The new FCS T-shirts were displayed and David Butler brought his seal skin cap and showed pictures from his recent work-related (Navy) trip to Alaska.  Thanks for serving our country David!
