The April - June quarter of 2007 was the best yet for FCS!. We had our best attendance yet for this quarter with 117 participants. We blew away what was our average for this quarter (47). We had 14 events for this quarter, which was also a new record. In addition we had one man join the Club during this quarter and six men renewed their memberships.

We had nine officer votes and three active member votes during the second quarter of 2007.
The next quarter promises to be an exciting one for FCS members and guests. We have 19 events planned. We'll have dove hunts near Buda and Woodson during every weekend in September, beginning on the weekend of 9/1/07. We'll have a dove hunt near San Angelo during the weekend of 9/1/07. We'll have a dove retreat near Brownwood during the weekend of 9/28/07. That's a total of 12 dove hunts! We’ll have a Club Meeting on 8/2/07, sporting clays and skeet shoots on 7/21/07 and 8/11/07, a Club dinner on 7/23/07 at Texas Land and Cattle, a concealed handgun class on 8/4/07, a hunting and gathering (shopping) trip at Bass Pro Shops in San Antonio tentatively scheduled for 8/18/07, and a non-chartered coastal fishing trip is tentatively scheduled for 8/24/07 - 8/26/07.
The FCS - Great Hills Baptist Church (GHBC) Bible Life (Sunday School) Class continues to roll along with nine regular members. The men will finish up "Wild at Heart" on 7/8/07 and the ladies will finish "Captivating" on the same date. On 7/15/07 the men will begin "Measure of a Man" by Gene Getz. The book focuses on what it takes to be a man of God. Men will gain encouragement for what they can be in Christ — as fathers, husbands, and mentors to other men. The Measure of a Man teaches men how to live faithfully, lovingly, and spiritually according to God's direction. The book is drawn from Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus and speaks in practical terms to men from every generation with life applications and words of inspiration. On the same date the ladies will begin "Dick Eastman on Prayer." It features three of Dick Eastman's best-selling books on prayer that have been bound together into one exciting volume. Ladies will develop a passion and a workable strategy for world-changing prayer by applying the principles found in No Easy Road, The Hour That Changes the World, and Love On Its Knees.
