7/1/06

The April – June quarter of 2006 was another great one for FCS!  We had 111 total participants, which tied our best for this quarter (with 1996).  If we had not rescheduled our 6/24/06 Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot (due to rain) and had generated our average (11 participants) we would have had 122 participants (which would have shattered the old record).  It also blew away what was our average for this quarter (44).  We had 13 events for this quarter - a new record (our old record, set in 1996, was eight).  We set record attendance for our Hybrid Bass Fishing Trip (6/23/06), Ducks Unlimited Sporting Clays Shoot and Luncheon (6/17/06), and Llano Crawfish Open (4/15/06).  In addition we had five men join the Club during this quarter.

We had six officer votes, two active Club member votes, and three polls during the second quarter of 2006.  For details see Votes and Polls Second Quarter of 2006.

The next quarter promises to be an exciting one for FCS members and guests.  We have 12 events planned.  We’ll have a meeting on 8/3/06; Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoots on 7/1/06, 7/29/06, and 8/12/06; a Hunting and Gathering Trip to Cabela's on 7/8/06; a Coastal Fishing Trip on 7/21/06 - 7/23/06; two Dove Hunts on 8/31/06 - 9/3/06; two Dove Hunts on 9/8/06 - 9/10/06; a Dove Hunt on 9/15/06 - 9/17/06; and the 15th Annual Fall Dove Retreat on 9/21/06 - 9/23/06.

The new FCS T-shirts are in.  Get one while we still have your size.

We have 33 people who are members of FCS and Great Hills Baptist Church.  I have secured approval to begin an FCS Bible Life Class there on Sunday mornings.  All we need is a teacher.  Please pray with me that the Lord will raise one up.

I hope to see you at an FCS event soon.

Following His trail,
