8/28/99 Sporting Clays Shoot

Three NAC officers, four NAC members, two NAC youth members, and one guest (10 total participants) had a great time at the 8/28/99 Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet range.  Tim Price blew away the competition.  He jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.  By the third station he had a three bird lead.  He finished with a FCS record (for Sporting Clays) of 43/50.  I, Randy Rowley, and Larry Dowden battled back and forth for second place.  By the fifth station Larry had a two bird lead but I shot 23 out of my last 25 and came out on top by one bird.  I shot 39/50 (my best ever).  Larry finished with 38/50 (his best ever also).  He was followed by Eddy Chance with 30/50 (he tied his best score), shooting 10 out of his first 25 and 20 out of his second 25.  Jesse Price was next with his best ever score of 29/50, losing to Eddy on the last station.  Dennis Koch was next with his best ever score of 28/50.  Ron Denison followed him with 24/50 (his best ever), shooting 7 out of his first 25 and 17 out of his second 25.  He was followed by Darin Koch with 23/50, Adam Dowden with 22/50, and William Wade with 6/50.  The group shot a best ever combined 282/400 (.705).
