An FCS Fall Dove Hunt (north zone) will be held on 8/31/04 – 9/5/04 at Larry and Betty Sullivan’s ranches near Woodson. It is close to Breckenridge just north of IH 20 and about 50 miles from Seymour. It is 230 miles from Austin. Larry and his wife Betty have four properties to choose from. Hunting will begin on 9/1/04 (opening day). The dove season lease goes for $130.00 if paid before 7/15/04 and $150.00 if paid on or after 7/15/04. Larry also offers a first weekend pass for September 4 - 5, 2004 for $100.00. The cost for day hunts is $50.00/day. You can hunt one or two days. We will be hunting the Allen Farm both days. FCS members and guests had a great hunt on hunting the Allen Farm during the past two years. We can camp on the property and motels are available in Throckmorton, Breckenridge, and Graham. Directions from Austin
Go North on Hwy 183 through Brownwood, Cisco, and in to Woodson.
As you first come into Woodson there will be a Dog Trailer manufacturer on the North West corner (behind a cyclone fence).
Go West on FM 209 about 1 1/2 miles. The Sullivan place is on the right (North side).
Go over the cattle guard. Follow the road between two cultivated plowed fields and then through some trees.
When you get to the "Y", go right to the house instead of the barn (unless they are set up for sign-in at the barn).
