Two officers, three members, two guests, and three sons (ten total participants) had a good time but a poor hunt at the 9/23/06 Fall Dove Hunt (central zone - Buda) at Louis and Gary Drott's season leases in the Buda, Mustang Ridge, and Creedmoor areas. A good, stiff breeze blew all morning. Eddy Chance got two birds and Derrich Pollock, Dick Matteson (he only had two shots), and Jordan Chance got one each. Dick and Jim Matteson hunted the Turnersville property. The rest of the guys hunted the school yard property. Dick and Jim hunted the rise west of the back pond. There were more birds nearer to the barn, but other hunters got there before they did. The group had a good breakfast at IHOP after the hunt.
