My fellow members,
I would like to take a minute of your time and talk about the FCS Club. The intent of this letter is to hopefully voice my commitment to the FCS Club. I was one of the original founders of the club. When Lee Tunnell and I first thought up the idea of a Christian hunting and fishing club it was founded on the principle of Christian men having as much fun as non-Christians are assumed to be having. We decided to call the club the Burp and Poot Club. This was to hopefully show that Christians have a sense of humor and that we could have as much fun as the next guy. Since I have been a member of the club I feel that we have lost a lot of the "FUN" in our meetings. We spend the entire time on business and very little time is spent on fellowshipping with each other. If you are like me, I have plenty of meetings that I attend at work. The last thing I want to do is to go to another meeting at night. I want to get together with my friends and talk about hunting, fishing and my family. I feel that we need to go back to the times when we got together and ordered Pizza, or someone made chili and we talked about the next hunting or fishing trip. We watched our home videos or rented a movie on hunting or fishing. I know that we need some form of organization but currently we spend all of our time on business and no time on visiting and watching video's. I have talked to several of our previous members that no longer attend and they have expressed to me this same feeling. I feel that we need to limit the business portion of our meeting to a few minutes. If members have something they would like to bring up for discussion it should be limited to no more than five minutes. Also I think we should have some meetings that have no business at all. I feel as if we have become more of a business and not a meeting of Christian friends with the same interests. I have made a lot of friends over the years and would like to keep doing so. If you feel as I do and you have quit coming to the meetings, I hope that you will come to the next meeting and voice your opinion and let's get down to having some FUN.
