Votes and Polls (During the Fourth Quarter of 2006)

 

 

On 10/23/06, by a vote of 9 to 0, the active Club members voted to add the Annual Hart Lion's Club Pheasant Hunt to the Club Calendar for 12/18/06 - 12/22/06.

On 10/23/06, by a vote of 8 to 0, the active Club members voted to make the following changes to the Club Bylaws:

C. The Vice President (Events)
 
3. Responsible to enter Club events into the FCS Calendar on the mycalendars.net website within seven days of an event's approval.
4. Responsible to notify the Club President that a new event(s) has been entered in the FCS Calendar on the mycalendars.net website.
 
The old number's 3 and 4 will need to be re-numbered as 5 and 6.

On 10/23/06, by a vote of 8 to 0, the active Club members voted to make the following changes to the Club Bylaws:

I. The Webmaster is responsible to notify the Chapter President when circumstances beyond his control preclude him from attending a meeting.  Specific Expectations:
 
1. Responsible to lead FCS Officer and Club meetings in the absence of Club President, Chapter Presidents, and Chapter Vice Presidents as delegated by the Club President).
2. Responsible to convert website submissions from the President into htm and upload them to the website within seven days of receipt.
3. Responsible to notify the Club President when submissions have been uploaded.
 
The old I - M will need to be re-lettered as J - N.

On 10/24/06, by a vote of 5 to 0, the Club Officers voted to cancel the 10/26/06 - 10/28/06 Fall Dove Hunt (south zone) with Texas Wild, the 11/3/06 - 11/5/06 Fall Deer, Turkey, and Hog Hunt, and the 12/15/06 - 12/16/06 Blast and Cast (Duck Hunt and Bay Fishing Trip) due to a lack of interest.

On 11/9/06, by a vote of 5 to 0, the Club Officers voted to add a 11/9/06 Great Hills Baptist Church Sportsmen's Banquet to the Club Calendar.  There was not time for a minimum one week discussion followed by a minimum one week vote (as called for by our Bylaws), so the officers made an Executive Decision.

On 11/29/06, by a vote of 5 to 0 the Club Officers voted to move the next Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot from 12/16/06 to 12/9/06 (from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM at Capitol City Trap & Skeet Range) due to the former dates close proximity to the 12/18/06 - 12/22/06 Annual Hart Lion's Club Pheasant Hunt and Capitol City will be resetting their courses on 12/16/06 for a 12/17/06 Corporate Shoot.

On 12/14/06, the following changes to the Club Bylaws were approved:

Proposition 1
 
By a vote of 13 to 0, the active Club members voted to add the following to Section IV. Officers, Sub-section I (Membership Director) to the Bylaws (and re-letter the old "I" and subsequent letters):
 
1.  Responsible to lead FCS Officer meetings in the absence of the Club President, Chapter Presidents, and Chapter Vice Presidents (as delegated by the Club President).
2.  Responsible to send all new members a "Welcome to the Club" e-mail or letter (for those members who do not have e-mail).
3.  Responsible to mail new and renewing members their membership benefits.
4.  Responsible to be the contact person for general questions about the Club from new members and to answer questions promptly.
5.  Responsible to remind active members that their memberships are about to expire and encourage them to renew their memberships.
6.  Responsible to participate in FCS promotions at churches, sporting goods stores, etc.
 
Proposition 2
 
By a vote of 11 to 2, the active Club members voted to delete the following responsibility from the Club Treasurer (it was added to the Membership Director):
 
6.  Responsible to remind active members that their memberships are about to expire and encourage them to renew their memberships.
 
Proposition 3
 
By a vote of 10 to 2, the active Club members voted to delete the following responsibility from the Secretary (it was added to the Membership Director):
 
4. Responsible to mail Club membership benefits to new and renewing members.

On 12/14/06, by a vote of 10 to 0, the active Club members, approved the 2007 Club Calendar.

On 12/17/06, by a vote of 7 to 0, the Club Officers approved adding a 12/28/06 - 12/31/06 Hart Lions Club Pheasant Hunt to the Club Calendar.  Mark Dillow and I (Randy Rowley) were not able to make the 12/18/06 - 12/23/06 Hart Lions Club Pheasant Hunt, so we needed to add a second hunt.  There was not time for a one week discussion of the active Club members followed by a one week vote, so the officer's made an Executive Decision.

On 12/26/06, by a vote of 4 to 0, the Club Officers approved canceling the 12/28/06 - 12/31/06 Hart Lions Club Pheasant Hunt due to a lack of game.

On 12/28/06, by a vote of 6 to 0, the Club Officers approved canceling the 12/30/06 Delivery of Contributions to Operation Orphans.  We want to collect more contributions and then deliver them in late winter or early spring.

On 12/30/06, by a vote of 6 to 0, the Club Officers approved rescheduling the "Bring in the New Year" Shooting Range Shoot to 12/31/06 at 2:00 PM.
